Streamline Verify considers itself fortunate to be running without incident throughout the COVID-19 pandemic due to the nature of its business. However, they have seen firsthand many of their own clients who are all healthcare organizations, on the front lines struggling to fight this pandemic on many levels. The company wished to find a way to help the healthcare arena and share its resources in the fight against the virus.
With that goal in mind, Streamline Verify developed a partnership with a local non-profit organization to help launch the Antibody Everybody initiative – a project of Bikur Cholim and sponsored by Streamline Verify. More recently the initiative has partnered together with the COVID Plasma Initiative, which is the central node of a network that makes the connection between patients, plasma donors, blood banks, hospitals and physicians. CPI helped arrange the Miller-Keystone Blood Center (MKBC) to set up their plasma collection practice, with 85% of their resources to be allocated at Streamline Verify’s headquarters in Lakewood, NJ.
The Antibody Everybody plasma drive, mainly using Whole Blood / Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide (CCP) non-automation, will take place from August 10 – September 6th, 2020 and aims to collect a thousand units of plasma in preparation for the upcoming school season. That amount would have the potential to save one thousand lives. For two Sundays the team will be engaged in the longer process of plasma apherisis which yields much more plasma units per person.
Streamline Verify hopes its actions will encourage other private sector companies to be a part of the fight against this global pandemic. By turning 7000 SF of their office space into a mobile blood bank clinic, the company is honored to be able to assist in collecting blood samples that may ultimately come to the aid of at least a thousand COVID-19 patients.
